Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. - Isaiah 43:19

A New Way hosts weekly Sundown Sessions (gatherings/services). These events are relaxed, inclusive and accessible. Join us on Wednesday nights at 7pm, 16 Laycock St. You'll see the fairylights, fire-pit and pool table. Our charity primarily exists to reach the most disadvantaged in our community, including victims of spiritual abuse. Sunday Sessions also give us a space to encourage each other as we serve the most disadvantaged in our community, raise funds for this public benevolent work, and create safe spaces.

This is an authentic space that is free from shame and pressure. Everyone, regardless of background, education, or age, is welcome here. We also welcome children of all ages, although we ask parents to look out for their children as we do not currently have any staff for this purpose. There's something for everyone!

We understand that new ventures require exploration and refinement. We also understand that finding your fit in community can be hard! If Sundown Sessions don't resonate with you, we’d love to recommend some great faith communities around the Central Coast that may suit your needs.

Inter-Denomination Ministry

We aren't "non-denominational".

You don't have to throw away your values & believes. Come no matter what denomination you identify with.

No Religious Titles

We don't call people 'pastor', 'reverend', 'priest' or 'father'.

We refer to our staff, who are theologically trained, by name.

Mid-Week Service

We are all busy on weekends, with markets, family time, community sports, and sleep. Our services are in the evenings on weekdays.

Casual Venues

Our services aren't held in "church" buildings. We will meet regularly in a warehouse that feels raw, authentic, relaxed and comfortable.

Casual Run-Sheet

We embrace organised chaos!

We embrace change and freedom. But we do have music, a short talk, prayer and communion.

No Obligations

We don't want you to show up because you feel like you have to!! We won't put you on a roster, but we invite you to serve others naturally.

As a non-profit, do we use the word Church?

The word "Church" is a translation of "ekklésia". Historically, this word has been mistakenly associated solely with religious buildings, institutions and Sunday services. However, its true meaning is "a gathering of people". It has been used to describe councils, mobs, and groups united by shared faith or values.

The "Church" is the people who individually and collectively follow Jesus. A New Way Services INC is a charity organisation that the Church (people of God) can be involved in; doing good in the community with the most disadvantaged.
